Feelings give clues about what is happening inside you. You might feel excited before a game, disappointed when plans change, or nervous about something new. No feeling is bad for showing up.
Your body may give the first hint. A fast heartbeat, tight shoulders, or warm face can tell you that a big feeling is arriving. Pause, take a breath, and choose a word that fits.
Naming a feeling can help you choose what to do next. If you feel frustrated, you might ask for help or take a short break. If you feel lonely, you might invite someone to play.
