People have traditions: ways of sharing food, stories, music, celebrations, or daily routines. A tradition can belong to a family, a neighborhood, or a wider community. It can change as people move and grow.
No one person speaks for a whole culture. Two families from the same place might cook different meals or celebrate different holidays. Ask people about their own experiences instead of assuming.
When you learn about a tradition, notice who is telling the story. Listen with care, name the source, and look for what people value. Sharing differences can help us find things we have in common too.
Try it yourself
